Ok, so this was supposed to be a complete goof…instead, I’ve now got a guitar that has a very nice “squonk”® to it. The volume knob has /got/ to go (for something metal and unmarked) and the pickup may be replaced. Before I do that though, I’ve got to make sure that the current one is grounded (this thing is /noisy/ for being a humbucker).

[update:] The noise was because the bridge ground wasn’t attached. Looks like Miss Kitty might need to look a bit a her quality control standards. Then again, I’m curious about her labor practices… Oh, probably best not to piss off the Kitty with “silly” questions.

Oh yeah, “squonk” is so definitely the sound this thing makes. It’s wonderfully different from the Les Paul.
