“They help me with my meditation”
At dinner tonight I noticed my waitress had tatoos on her wrists. I asked about them. She told me she was a practitioner of tantric yoga and the tatoos helped her meditate. When she came back I asked if I could take a picture and she kindly consented. It’s not exactly the pose I envisioned, but it still works.
Why did I ask to take a picture? Well, I’ve been fascinated by the work of a couple of photographers lately and I wanted to try my hand at the look they have. You can see their work here

These two guys have really intrigued me with the luminescence they bring to their images. I decided to have a go at it and needed a good candidate image. That’s why I asked.
A note to all would-be photographers: when you ask someone if you can take their picture you’d better have an immediate answer to the question “why?”
